My partner and I wanted to curate an intimate and tasteful wedding without the usual trappings of a typical big fat Indian wedding. My partner had already visited Rohet Garh several times before, but from the moment we did a recce together, we just knew that this was where we’d be celebrating the most special day in our lives. Rohet Garh is a stunning heritage fort and boutique hotel with exquisite architecture, charming gardens and courtyards, and an opportunity to truly immerse in the rich culture, history, and art of Rajasthan. The venue was ideal for our intimate wedding, comfortably accommodating around 70 of our closest family and friends. We wanted our guests to have a great time, experience a deep sense of connection, and feel like integral parts of our milestone, rather than just attendees. Rohet Garh was the perfect venue for this kind of an experience - we were able to book the property entirely for ourselves, creating a warm and personal atmosphere for our wedding weekend. What truly set Rohet Garh apart for us was the exceptional care and hospitality of its entire team. In our interactions with Avijit (the owner) and Vimal (the manager) early on, we knew that they understood our vision of a beautiful, intimate, and elegant wedding and were committed to helping us make it a reality. They worked tirelessly and patiently to accommodate our every request and were thoughtful partners in curating a truly unforgettable experience for us and our guests. Every detail was meticulously planned, and the ambience created at every event was unique and special. In keeping with our personal tastes and mood boards, the decor at each event from the welcome lunch to the sangeet, haldi, pheras, and reception was classic and elegant while also prioritizing sustainability - something that was deeply important to us. The team also worked closely with our chosen vendors (including the photography team and qawwali performers that we sourced locally) and introduced us to other vendors (décor, mehendi artists etc.) to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Food is perhaps the most important element of an Indian wedding for guests, and the food at Rohet was simply spectacular! The team went above and beyond to craft unique menus for each meal that featured local and authentic Rajasthani delicacies while also keeping in mind our guests’ dietary restrictions. From poolside buffets to intimate dinners in the lawns, and even an enchanting rooftop dinner under the stars for our Reception, every setting was beautifully designed to create memorable moments for our guests. A special shoutout to the staff at Rohet Garh for their exceptional service. Every member of their staff was so warm and made us and our guests feel welcome and well taken care of. Their attention to detail and personalized service made us feel truly at home, and allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding. Ultimately, we’re so glad that we picked Rohet Garh to celebrate our union and create lifelong memories. We left with our hearts full of love, and to this day, our guests still rave about our wedding and the love and warmth they experienced. The owners and the general manager were incredibly hands-on, helping with everything from decor coordination and music to sourcing local vendors. It truly felt like a labor of love from everyone involved. We hosted our Sangeet as a shikaar-themed dinner in the heart of the desert, creating a truly one-of-a-kind experience that our guests still talk about to this day. It was unlike anything they’d ever encountered before. The food was exceptional, with every dish surpassing expectations. The chef went above and beyond, personally serving my husband and me at the reception when we were among the last to eat, ensuring we felt special. On the day of the wedding, we treated our guests to a traditional Rajasthani lunch, and the flavors were unforgettable. It was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our celebration. The hospitality throughout our entire experience was equally remarkable. The staff’s warmth and kindness truly touched our hearts. They greeted every guest with a bright smile, folded hands, and a sincere ‘Khamma Ghani,’ making everyone feel welcome and valued. All in all, Rohet Garh was the perfect place to host our celebration, and I wouldn’t hesitate to choose it again if I had to do it all over.
