For our Carnival Mehendi, Rishab wanted something vibrant yet understated to match the playful energy of the day. We chose Karan and Moin, an emerging design duo who are redefining modern menswear with elegance and sophistication. They created a beautiful custom kurta in Rishab’s favorite shade of blue, a color that truly reflects his personality—calm, confident, and joyful. The outfit had just the right touch of subtle embroidery and clean tailoring, allowing him to stand out without overshadowing the cheerful chaos of the Mehendi. It was fresh, contemporary, and perfect for the occasion.

The Sangeet was our ode to Bollywood, particularly the iconic 90s and 2000s songs that shaped our childhoods and relationship. For this night, Rishab needed something that was both glamorous and regal, embodying the charm of a Bollywood hero. We found the perfect ensemble at Qbik, located in Dhanmill, Delhi. Known for their ability to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern silhouettes, Qbik’s designs struck the right balance. Rishab’s outfit was royal, sharp, and sophisticated, with intricate detailing that reflected the grandeur of the evening. It complemented my feathered champagne gold Rouje lehenga perfectly, making us look like the stars of our own Bollywood saga. Under the shimmering lights and surrounded by music, Rishab looked effortlessly charismatic—every bit the leading man of the night.

For our Royal Wedding, we wanted Rishab’s outfit to be timeless and regal, celebrating his Punjabi heritage while blending seamlessly with the grandeur of the day. After exploring countless designers and markets, we knew Seema Gujral was the one. Her designs are renowned for their intricate craftsmanship, impeccable tailoring, and ability to create outfits that exude understated elegance. Rishab’s sherwani was a masterpiece—traditional yet modern, with hand-sewn embellishments that elevated it to another level of sophistication. The design included delicate pearl and zardozi work that perfectly complemented my pink and white bridal lehenga. As a Punjabi groom, Rishab carried the royal look with pride, while the subtle nods to tradition and heritage made his outfit deeply personal. Together, our looks reflected the beauty of two cultures—my Brahmin roots and his Punjabi heritage—coming together in a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

Philocaly Post our royal wedding, we hosted an Indian-American Reception Gala—a sophisticated, modern evening filled with speeches, laughter, our first dance, and a heartfelt father-daughter dance. For this event, Rishab needed a look that was sleek, modern, and timeless. We turned to Philocaly, a boutique in Shahpur Jat known for their immaculate fits and classic silhouettes. Rishab wore a perfectly tailored three-piece tuxedo, exuding effortless charm and sophistication. The tux featured clean lines and a sharp fit that made him look dashing and debonair, perfectly in sync with the elegant vibe of the reception. Standing beside me in my bold red Tarun Tahiliani Concept Saree, Rishab looked every bit the suave groom, adding a touch of Hollywood-inspired glamour to our evening. The reception was about celebrating our journey as a couple, blending modern elegance with heartfelt tradition, and Rishab’s Philocaly tux was the perfect choice. It allowed him to shine with understated confidence while complementing the evening’s sophisticated charm. From the vibrant Mehendi to the regal wedding and the modern reception, Rishab’s outfits reflected not just his personality but also the spirit of each event. Papa Don’t Preach for Mehendi For our Carnival Mehendi, I wanted something vibrant, playful, and effortlessly stylish—exactly what Papa Don’t Preach by Shubhika represents. Shubhika’s creativity has always inspired me as a fearless female entrepreneur redefining bridal fashion, and I knew I had to wear one of her masterpieces. When I first saw the Lyons Tropical Blue Lehenga, famously worn by Rakul Preet for her Haldi, it felt like love at first sight. The tropical prints, dazzling embellishments, and unique energy perfectly matched the fun and festive spirit of the day. A heartfelt thank you to Shreya from Papa Don’t Preach, who guided me through the process seamlessly and ensured every detail was flawless. Her assistance with custom changes and on-time delivery made all the difference. Wearing this lehenga felt like stepping into a dream—vibrant, bold, and unapologetically me.

The Sangeet was pure nostalgia—a night dedicated to the 90s and 2000s Bollywood we both grew up on. I discovered Rouje on Instagram and was instantly captivated by their vintage charm and contemporary elegance. The Sanya Honey Lehenga in champagne gold was everything I wanted—dramatic yet refined, glamorous yet understated. The delicate feathers and subtle shimmer made it the perfect outfit to dance the night away while celebrating our love story under the lights. A huge shoutout to Hetal, the founder of Rouje, who went above and beyond to understand my vision over phone calls from the USA. She ensured every customization was done to perfection and even had the lehenga sent from Kolkata to Delhi on time. Her warmth and dedication made the process effortless, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

The Bohemian Haldi was a dream I’d cherished for years—soft pinks, lavenders, and rustic charm coming together in a celebration of love and laughter. I always knew I wanted to wear a saree for at least one event, inspired by my mom, who wore a pink organza saree for her Haldi. Mahima Mahajan’s Ishq Collection brought that vision to life with the Benu Saree. It was the perfect blend of tradition and boho elegance, with its dreamy hues and flowy silhouette. A heartfelt thank you to Falak from Mahima Mahajan, who made sure I got exactly what I wanted and helped me choose the perfect design. Wearing this saree felt not only beautiful but deeply sentimental, connecting me to my roots while adding a modern twist.

For our Royal Wedding, I envisioned an outfit that was elegant, regal, and reflective of the two cultures coming together—Rishab’s Punjabi roots and my Brahmin heritage. I always knew I didn’t want to be a red bride. Instead, pink and white were my colors of choice—timeless, soft, and sophisticated. After exploring countless designers and markets, Seema Gujral’s collection completely stole my heart. What made this experience even more special was Sanjna Puri from Seema Gujral. From day one, Sanjna was by my side, helping me pick the perfect shade and coordinating every step of the customization process. I wanted something exclusive and unique—not straight off the rack—and Sanjna ensured every detail was tailored to perfection. She came to all my fittings, offered endless support, and truly became a friend through this journey. The lehenga, with its hand-sewn pearls, intricate beading, and delicate embroidery, was everything I had dreamed of—modern yet rooted in timeless tradition.

For our Indian-American Reception Gala, I wanted something bold, modern, and sophisticated. Tarun Tahiliani has always been a designer I’ve admired for his ability to merge classic Indian silhouettes with contemporary flair. I chose a stunning Tarun Tahiliani Concept Saree in red—a statement of bold elegance that felt perfect for meeting our guests post-wedding. After choosing soft pastels for the wedding, I wanted to embrace red for this event, but in a modern way. The drape, structure, and embellishments of the concept saree created an unforgettable look—classy, chic, and effortlessly stylish. It was the perfect outfit for our evening of speeches, our first dance, and the father-daughter dance that I had always dreamed of.
