A Wedding Story

I had contacted Simran and her team for our wedding from overseas and we began planning it together for about a year. Even though our discussions were all remotely, A wedding story planners team delivered to every details I requested. From having an eco friendly and budget friendly options, it was so easy to select and co-ordinate. We had the best time at our wedding and I am very grateful to the entire team for putting this together.

A Wedding story has been the backbone for the last 9 months for me and my family the best support system through out my marriage. Simran and waseem are sooooo dedicated from day 1 till even 1 week after the wedding was over simran and waseem have stood by with us helping through every step. Working with simran is sooo easy and she guided with everything. What ever we discussed in terms of budgets and decor and vendors everything she committed verbally it was 100% exactly what was delivered. From our wedding planner simran is now our friend and for all my friends and family members getting married now its just A Wedding Story for us always.

I couldn’t have asked for a better duo than Simran and Waseem to pull off our wedding! From the endless late night, post work calls to discuss my bridal demands, going through Pinterest posts together, sharing 10000 insta reels and saying “aise ho jayega na?” to actually seeing everything be executed so smoothly and beautifully, I truly had an amazing time planning our big fat Indian wedding in Goa with Simran. The level of patience, dedication and sheer love with which she has shown up for us before and during our most important days was incredible. Kudos to Simran for dealing with both my “I don’t know what I want” and “this is EXACTLY how I want it” moods!! To all who want to feel like they’re planning the most exciting days of their lives with a dear friend, we highly recommend A Wedding Story!

Recommended for:

The decoration was not up to the mark in our wedding. We had to face multiple disappointments throughout the wedding and since they don't pay their vendors on time, we had to face public embarrassment and humiliation and there was not a single person from her present at the venue. Simran was supposed to be at the wedding yet she didn't show up and gave us nothing but excuses. This is a delayed review since I couldn't help but write the disappointing experience we had during our wedding. Now everytime we remember the day, it's majorly the disappointment that follows along.

Disclaimer- If you post a bad review, they might get it removed just like they removed my review. Worst Wedding planners ever!!! Simran is all talk and no action. She is highly unorganized and will take no responsibility for not delivering what she promised. While writing the last review, which got deleted, I had mentioned how much I could relate with the reviews in here. And trust me when I say that you shoud save yourself and your big day from being ruined by the most convincing Simran and Waseem. What we got was not what we were promised and yet all they will care about is extracting money. Highly overpriced and not worth the risk. All the good reviews is from their own friends and family only. Will forever regret choosing them for our family's big day.

Simran and her team delivered what i had asked for. The decor was exactly what was shown. The team helped us out for the entire planning. All the vendors booked via them was very professional and performed exceptionally! You can trust Simran and her team. They know what they do and are very clear with their communication. Good team work.

Absolutely worst and completely unprofessional. Simran is the most incompetent and dishonest person. The team had no proper communication, made false promises, delivered absolutely shit quality of planning and decor, they don’t pay their vendors on time and their vendors stop doing their work and provide inventory on the day of the wedding, just a few hours to go. The team takes no responsibilities, make no apologies, they completely ignore the calls made to them during this time and leave it completely on the wedding party to fend for themselves. The worst possible wedding decor company ever. Do yourselves a favour and never work with them. Boycott them by all means.

Zero planning and communication skills. My wedding mandap was not what we paid for. Simran was supposed to pay us back (compensation for all the million things that went wrong in the wedding-which she herself agreed to). We chased her for 3 months- she stopped picking our calls, stopped replying and removed her team members from our whatsapp group too. Now that I am reading reviews again- they are all the same excuses- family member died, no funds, year end tax issues, “oh I’m in a no signal zone”- zero professionalism. Please do not go for her. Feel free to contact me and I’d love to give you more details and also recommend better planners and decorators.

Very professional, came up with a lot of options that suited the budget and requirement. Delivers what they promised. Thanks for making my best friend's wedding so amazing!

Finding "A Wedding Story" and Simran was quite serendipitous. And working with them was a beautiful experience. Since the beginning we felt safe with Simran and things just clicked. She was open and straightforward. The whole team was brimming full of beautiful ideas and very practical. This made the planning easy and convenient. During the whole process they walked us through their planning. And the events were managed wonderfully. The decor was tasteful and there were absolutely no hiccups at all. It went so smooth. Definitely took a load off our minds having them there to oversee things. And I know they put in so much work. Great experience truly. There were definitely quite a few misses. I would suggest even if everything is on email and even if reccee is done, make sure someone other than the couple is aware of everything that needs to be done so that they can run around and make sure things are proper. I remember the car we'd booked wasn't available for dulha at last minute and we got a different one. It worked. Decor on tables was different from discussed decor. My phoolon ki chadar wasn't ready at all, completely missed. Was made with fake flowers at the last minute. Pandit was paid very less even though a lot of money was taken from us for him. Parents were very offended with all of this on the day of. Maybe hold some payment for post the event. Some things do go wrong on the day of and we did not mind much. So all good for us.
