The Elephantride

I would like to point out that the below mentioned things that were not delivered by The Elephantride even after charging us a whopping amount of 12 lakhs on our wedding day:- 1. My parents had ONE request- lots of banana leaves at the mandap and an east facing mandap. TER even failed to provide for this small request. Not only was this discussed with Mr. Shirish while he was at the venue finalising the layout but also very categorically informed that we will change the seating direction to face our guests. Everything was ignored for the sake ‘creative vision’ that was not shared by me or my husband. 2. ⁠Petal Bar- we paid for this, shared refrence pictures with Ms. Dewan and all that was provided to our Planning Team was a console table / dresser. I had told Ms. Dewan while I was hiring her that this is important for me and it will have pictures of my dead grandparents but all that was provided was a small dresser because of which the planning team had to sweat about it at the very last minute and makedo with whatever stuff they had anticipated in advance. 3. ⁠No entry sign was provided by the Decor Team for the haldi function and it made some guests reach the wedding venue instead of the haldi venue which was still a work in progress. It was essential to demarcate the narrow passageway to haldi venue causing the guests inconvenience and us embarrassment. 4. ⁠The areas adjoining the photo op stage on our wedding day had no LIGHTING. Imagine hiring a ‘reputable company’ and paying them a lot of money yet they failed to even light up a tiny lawn completely. 5. ⁠The Glass House draping and the entry mirror were not as promised. I had shared pictures of the entry mirror while hiring them and they had showed me the how the glass house would look in the PPT. Both were not provided for. 6. ⁠TER told us all tables will have candles and whatnot. Well the entry consoles had nothing! Its the first thing that any guest would see. The paan corner had no lights and our guests did not know it even existed. 7. ⁠The layout was off. Despite asking multiple times for a 2 D layout in advance (I have chats to substantiate this and everything else I am writing here) and even after repeatedly requesting TER to show us refrences and get things approved nothing was ever done. 8. ⁠The chandelier on the grazing table- most lights went out super soon. We were promised something like a grand metallic structure with gold threads but we got something shabby with ropes. 9. ⁠I provided TER with the minutes of the single zoom meeting they had with us wherein we clearly asked TER for reference pictures however any follows ups regarding the same were met with unwarranted defensiveness and hostility. Needless to state pictures of most things were never shared in advance. Infact TER failed to schedule any meetings on their own accord. 10. Ms Dewan was rude and unprofessional and yelled at me for requesting to schedule a zoom call on any date of their choosing to discuss my wedding decor. She finally came for a zoom on 2nd December for a 13th and 14th December wedding. I was told as the bride to share requirement with her on 10th for a 13th December function because obviously this was the only thing on our plate. 11. After calling out TER and withholding their balance payment of 1 lakh, Ms. Dewan and Mr. Shirish threatened me that they would share my number with random vendors just to harass me further. Working with TER has been a regrettable decision and despite multiple requests, on account of not scheduling any meetings in advance or getting anything approved by us the decor was a disappointment for us and our families. Even the smallest of our inputs were ignored by Ms. Dewan very close to our wedding date for the sake of a ‘creative vision’ that only TER shared even though what is expected of a Decor vendor is to execute the bride and groom’s Wedding vision and not theirs. TER shared day time pictures of the decor especially the mandap and the bar area claiming they did a decent job but we all know how convenient it is to share edited images of selective decor in this gram frenzy world. Hiring TER was the only wrong decision we made in the wedding planning process. We personally thanked all our vendors and apologised to them for dealing with an absolutely brusque decor team. Save yourself the mental harassment and anxiety. As far as I am concerned I will not recommend TER to anyone. Sharing a few screenshots to substantiate everything I just said.

Working with Meghna and Shrish is an absolute must if you are planning your wedding decor. They are absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The dedication, attention to detail, years of experience and “know how” to get things done was perfect for what we were looking for. We are sure that we speak for many when we say that THE ELEPHANT RIDE really works wonders. They made everything perfect. From beginning to end, everything just fell into place so elegantly. They really lifts the weight off your shoulders and makes you feel so comfortable during the entire process leading up to your wedding day. I have worked with The Elephantride twice in the past. I am left speechless. They are just such a formidable team to work with. Their ideas and designs are larger than life and when they come to life on the final day... you are literally left speechless. I have no words to describe their energy. They are just such a fun team. OMG. I couldn't stop laughing all through the days we worked together and the clients were just ecstatic by the end of it. Both client projects we worked on together... our client adopted Shirish (the man behind The Elephantride). He is just such an incredible personality... everyone falls in love with him instantly. And ask him for anything... he will get it done. He likes the "impossible". I think it gives him a high to make impossible become possible. He thrives on that. Meghna on the other hand is the silent force behind the show. Her designs are out of this world and she would literally create magic out of nothing and you wouldn't even realise when it all came together. I have loved every single minute of working with this team and cannot recommend them enough. Kudos team The Elephantride!!!
