Espousal Planners

We found Espousal through a known extended family reference. Their initial pitch was impressive which is why we decided to leave another planner we had almost finalized and go with Espousal. Unfortunately it was a bad decision for us since their team is very unprofessional. Actually there is barely a team - it's a company started by a couple and they have just 2 more people in their team who are apparently supposed to run around everywhere, be it venue, decor, vendors, guest management, transport, stationery - anything!!! We had already finalized most of the vendors ourselves and all they had to do was onsite coordination on the day of the events, but they didn't have the manpower or the planning on how they would do it. It was very stressful for us to keep chasing them to do their work, whereas as a wedding planner it was their job to relieve our stress and make sure all tasks are done. We made all the lists and had to spoonfeed them till the last day and it was very frustrating to deal with them. They were just interested in making extra money off us by trying to get us to buy sweets, boxes, return gifts etc from their partner vendors. Once we realized they were ripping us off, we didn't go with their partners and subsequently they lost any interest to do any wedding planning work for us. We paid them 2lacs for nothing and it was a sheer waste of money. I would strongly recommend to not go with them - they gave us horrible service despite going through a known reference. Wedding planning in India seems to be a scam!!!
