Ek Soot by Mansi M. Achreja

Brand ‘Ek Soot’ is an amalgamation of innovation and tradition with a fresh design sensibility. The label was established in 2015 in New Delhi by Mansi M. Achreja, a Pearl Academy of Fashion graduate, with an experience of four years working with Ace designers Meera and Muzaffar Ali before extending to her father’s business of accessories. In that period she became closely connected to varied crafts of her motherland and made collections on themes like ikat, chikankari and chintz for Kotwara. After that she bagged the opportunity to be part of the design team for costumes of Mr. Ali’s movie ‘Jaanisaar’. This further added to the knowledge of intricate details of the indian costumes starting from the roots. The study that went into making the indian as well as english costumes with her strong aesthetic sense and a zeal to travel and experience the intricacies of various art forms of the world was the starting point in creating extraordinary pieces with a balance of color, craft and fit to a millimetre, hence ‘Ek Soot’.
