We spy with our little eyes, something new for bridesmaids . Vests and waist coats are not just limited to men these days, and after western wear, have found their place in Indian wear as well. We are spotting more and more Anarkalis and Kurtis with vests on top, and must say they look very hatke for say a Mehendi function or to wear to someone's wedding.

So what is this trend? The trend is to wear vests or waistcoats, which can be left open or button up on top of Indian wear to add some extra jazz to the outfit.Image Courtesy: Tarun Tahiliani
What kind of vests can be worn for this look? Vests and waist coats with embroidery, zardozi or sequin work work well, and especially if they are colour-blocked!Image Courtesy: www.perniaspopupshop.com
What kind of Indian outfits can these vests be paired with? These can be paired with kurtas, anarkalis, dhoti pants, drape/cowl dresses and even light lehengas! They look good with almost any Indian outfit, but you might have to ditch the dupatta if it gets too much. They are a very good and colourful option for the Mehendi or the sister of the bride!
