Seaside Mumbai Nikah with DIY touches
BY The WMG Bride | 18 May, 2015 | 2 min read
From the bride: The wedding was a traditional Nikah held at the seaside lawns of a vintage bungalow. Since it was a seaside affair , the place was designed keeping in mind the beautiful bungalow and the view it provided. The decor was minimal to complement the venue. Almost everything in the wedding wad DIY. Starting with our invites (viewable in full gallery) where we had hand written notes, to the decor detailing with personalised signage as well as my outfit.
I found my lehenga, got the changes done according to me and made the blouse and dupattas in a salmon color which provided a beautiful contrast to the green. The jewellery was made by Suresh Karekar who is a local jeweller but the designs were given by me.
Since we put so much effort into designing this intimate wedding, I knew I wanted a photographer who would do justice to our vision. The Wedding Salad team brought to life our event with their stunning clicks. I am so happy I went with them and I would not have trusted anyone else to do it.
