BY Garvita | 23 Sep, 2019 | 1 view | 3 min read

Who better than an experienced bride to share deets of everything wedding related? I remember when I was getting married, the only person whom I could go for heart-to-heart advice was my best friend who got married a couple of months earlier than I did! And Woah.. it felt like she knew it all. So when we stumbled upon a query about 'how to handle a wedding day zit', we asked real brides to spill the beans on the same. Go ahead and read on!

Anisha says

"Luckily my skin didn't disappoint me on the wedding day but I was prepared that incase a pimple arrives overnight, thanks to all the hustle and stress, I would have handled it with ice cubes! Tried and tested this trick in the past, and trust me, it has done wonders! All you've got to do is take a clean handkerchief and set it on the pimple for a few minutes. Visibly reduces the redness and swelling, which can be easily concealed with makeup!"

Garima says

"First of all, DO NOT POP IT! I know you must be aware of it, but reminding you just in case you feel you have no other choice. Trust you MUA to conceal it. Still confused? Well, I had a pimple on my forehead on my wedding day, and I was freaking out, but thanks to my makeup artist it went unnoticed."

Neha says

"Having a zit on my wedding day was my biggest nightmare, luckily it wasn't that huge. I knew that popping it would be a disaster, so I tried my old formula - the toothpaste spot treatment! As it tends to dry out the zit, I wouldn't recommend this to brides-to-be with dry skin. But trust me, it worked wonders for me on my special day. Also, I never overdo it, as it can be harsh on the skin! So stick to your best bet."

Disha says

"I would say you shouldn't be embarrassed to have a pimple in the first place. All you can do is lessen the obviousness because you can never completely hide it! I kept my skin hydrated with an oil-free moisturizer (because a dry, flaky pimple is more prominent), and it prepped my skin before the makeup routine, making it easy for the MUA."

Ritika says

"Woke up on my wedding day with a little zit on my nose! Wow. Had no time to crib, so I tried a quick DIY trick that I had kept handy in case I get into such a situation. Pressed a warm cloth over it and then dabbed tea tree oil using a q-tip! It calmed the pimple and made it less visible."
