Real brides reveal: How they color co-ordinated with the groom !

BY The WMG Bride | 10 Dec, 2015 | 3 min read

Real brides are the biggest sources of information people. So when it came to the barrage of questions we received about "Co-ordinating your bridal outfit with the groom" , we couldn't find a better resource to turn to. Here is how 7 real couples chose colors that work well together. So much useful info in here.

Dupattas, Pocket Squares and bright colors: Sonia and Ramit

Sonia says : " For the sangeet, we both wanted bright colors. While my lehenga had three different colors, we co-ordinated the color of the dupatta to his kurta.  His pocket square incorporated the rest of the colors of my lehenga, and his nehru jacket was kept neutral so it didn't get too matchy matchy. It was a nice way to look good in photos together"

Complementing but not matching colors: Aastha and Kapil

Aastha recounts  " I wanted to not be in the same colour so I made sure that it was complementing but not matching . For example I wore a bright pink Manish Arora blouse whilst Kapil wore a pastel pink Sabyasachi sherwani it was kind of making a statement by not being completely matching because you don't want to look stupid but a similar color helped"

Working with accent colors in a different tone: Mitali & Anuj

Anuj's pale blue sherwani contrasted with Mitali's red lehenga, but also looked perfectly coordinated as there were bits of navy blue in Mitali's outfit. By picking a pale tone of a color that already existed in Mitali's lehenga, they both looked unique and yet coordinated
