I’m all about the dolling up during weddings, but that doesn’t mean we can’t penny pinch here and there right?
I asked these brides to name one budget make up product that they used during their wedding week and would highly recommend to another bride, and they dished out the answers quite merrily.
Nimoli says:
“I had booked a make up artist for most of my wedding functions, but there were a few smaller functions at home where I decided to do my own make up. I've realised weddings are very stressful for brides and I did not want to add any badly applied, smudged make up to my own list of stresses. Thus, I trusted the Maybelline Gel Liner. It's long lasting, easy to apply and water proof. Honestly, eye make up is the only thing I really focus on when I'm applying make up at home and this liner works wonders for me!”
Ruchi says:
“Ruby Woo is the best thing to happen to those who love red. I wore it at my wedding and continue to rock it even today! PS: It didn’t move an inch the whole night. Totally recommend it to all brides!”
Pooja says:
“It’s a product I swear by even now. But I clearly remember that my wedding makeup ritual only began with this light hydrating facial cream on every single function. I love how it feels on my skin”
Forest Essentials Aloe Gel: Rs 1250
Darshana says:
“I had to check with my MUA since you asked me this question. I have to say I love this shade and a lot of people complimented it even on that day. Definitely a must have red!”
Velvet Matte Lipstick from Colorbar in the shade Hot Hot Hot: Rs 225
Rehat Brar Bridal Makeup Artist
Vidhi says:
“It is the best thing to have ever happened to me! And I totally used it at all my wedding functions too. It didn’t smudge or move an inch and I totally recommend it to all brides!”
Maybelline Colossal Kajal: Rs 140
Akrati says:
“I’m going to give away my well kept secret since college days. I’m obsessed with this blush and refused to use anything else during my wedding functions too!”
Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush: Rs 689
Sneha says:
“I usually get breakouts very easily so I don’t like using foundation. For my mehendi which was an extremely intimate function, I used the Maybelline BB cream and topped that with a compact from Colorbar. It gave me great results without any breakouts.”
Maybelline Clear Glow Bright Benefit Cream: Rs 250
Madhvi says:
“I bought some makeup right before my wedding that I could use during my own shaadi and even afterwards. I find that Woodwinked is a gorgeous bronzy gold colour that suits Indian skin tones and is perfect for weddings.”
Eyeshadow by MAC Woodwinked: Rs 1200
There you have it ladies. Some awesome budget makeup product recommendations that have been tried and tested by real brides. Bring on the demonetization, for we are clearly in the mood to save! ;)
