There's only one good reason anyone should love a wedding? DIY! The biggest weddings that we gravitate towards are the ones that have simple, tiny details that are so note-worthy that we need an excel sheet to document them. This sweet Bangalore wedding is all about cute card mehendi giveaways, a nice sheet with the timeline of the wedding and fun giveaways for the guests and the best bit? They are all personalised and effortless and the bride and the groom were personally involved with them. Apart from that, the brides peach lehenga iwth innovative rose kaleere and her fun floral umbrella are to die for. The venue, Fiestaa Resort-n-Events was a delight while photography by Candid Stories by Swati Chauhan were a riot!
Meet Shikha & Ankit
"We met at a pub, 5 years ago. He looked pretty cute, even my girl gang thought so. But then he started flirting with my closest friend, and that’s where the first chapter came to an end. A year later though, he pinged me on Facebook. Ever since then, we have completely been hooked. Through all the ups and downs, we knew it was in our destiny - we were meant to be together forever, endlessly (that's how we decided our hashtag- #EndlesslyAnsh).

The Wedding
From The Bride:
Ankit always wished for an extended family vacation like intimate wedding. I desired for a wedding with a “Do It Yourself” touch. We both wanted a destination, but budget friendly wedding. Our families lived in Guwahati and Chandigarh respectively. Hence, being the believers in equal opportunity, we zeroed down on Bangalore. With our families living far away from us, the onus of preparation fell on us. We had only three months to do everything – finalize the wedding date, the location, prepare gifts for the guests, get the dresses stitched, organize the décor design, choose the menu and finally tie the knot with each other. With only a wedding planner hired to organize the flow of events, we worked on the welcome bags, the thank-you bags, the wedding timeline, the return favours and the wedding signage.
While the décor was minimal, we tried to add in various elements to make the two days of wedding a memorable one. There was a tug of war between the ladka and ladkiwaalas; there was also a challenging game (for Ankit), find the bride which he won convincingly. A “Wish You Were Here” corner was designed to remember all our lost loved ones. A shoe game was played in the reception dinner – letting Ankit know that my heels were sharper. WMG and Pinterest were of immense help in choosing deciding the vendors and detailing respectively. Our doggy boy Spark, kept our stress levels under control during those two days. These little things made our wedding more special and personal. To all the future brides – weddings are made of small moments, so savour the whole experience!
