Some brides like a bit of theater and looks like Samiya does. Inspired by Princess Diana and the royal family in London, this bride designed her big day with a fascinator hat, vintage flowers, fun quirky quotes and a dusty pink Gaurav Gupta dress. The venue, Taj Palace provided the perfect canvas while the Photographers Vows & Tales made sure the pictures conveyed the message beautifully!
Meet Samiya & Diljot
"This is an arranged marriage, though we were friends first. He was a year senior to me in school and we were in touch. Then I moved to London for further studies but came back. We were in touch again and he was there for me as a friend through some trying times. Our parents knew each other and took this forward" explains Samiya.
From The Bride-to-be:
"Since childhood, I’ve been a big fan of Lady Diana and the royal family. My maternal side is from London, and I’m a fan of the city and it's culture. I was greatly inspired by this tiny detail and went for a English and Vintage theme for my Roka. I always wanted to wear English-inspired headgear, so that had to be created. And my mum, sister and I wore pearls, more like "girls in pearls". I also travelled to Pakistan where I got organza outfit with pearl work done on it. It was a cozy affair and we lightened the mood with some funny and silly quotes here and there!" explains Samiya.
