No we aren't talking about Batman style ones , but floaty, whispery sheer capes worn over Indian silhouettes. Anamika Khanna may have started this rage a year ago, but capes seem to have become every new age designer's go-to silhouette these days and we are absolutely loving them.

Beautiful Capes by Ridhima Bhasin available at Pernia's Pop Up Shop

Wearing a cape:
- Capes look fabulous on women of most sizes- right from slender frames to broader ones. However , they look much better on taller frames as shorter girls can look even shorter with a cape silhouette
- You can wear a cape of a saree (which has no embellishment), or over fitted cigarette pants and a top. You may even want to wear it over a bustier lehenga top
- If you are narrowest at your waist, make sure your cape ends much above it and does not camouflage it or else it may make you look bulky
- Pick a cape in the same color as the blouse or outfit underneath. Contrast capes rarely work.
