Inside Dia Mirza's Wedding: Outfit Photos!

BY The WMG Bride | 18 Oct, 2014 | 3 min read

Dia Mirza is one of those celebrities whome its super hard not to like. Beneath the soft spoken exterior however, she has always been quite the fashionista and we doubt we have ever seen her being dissed for her fashion sense on High Heel Confidential ;) . Anyhoo, unless you have been living under a rock you would know that this Hyderabadi beauty is tieing the knot TODAY...yes TODAY to her long time beau Sahil Sangha. We scoured through social media to get you these pictures from her Mehendi & Sangeet Outfits ! dia-mirza-mehendi-outfit-weddingphotos For her mehendi, Dia actually chose an anarkali she had worn previously for a shoot. A mustard yellow Ritu Kumar anarkali with a banarsi red silk border, and zardozi embroidery paired with a sharara underneath (or is that a pallazo) . Full sleeved though- wonder how she managed to get her mehendi done with that! Lots of flower jewellery in yellow and white. dia-mirza-sangeet-photos-lehenga-wedding For her sangeet Dia chose a gorgeous , almost periwinkle blue Anita Dongre lehenga with a full sleeved gold mirror work blouse with a high neck. She accessorized with a three string polki and pearl piece with a large blue pendant. Is it just me or do you guys wish her dupatta had a slightly cleaner drape? Love the lehenga though nevertheless and she looks absolutely radiant. Wondering who she will be wearing for the big day today?? Is it going to be any of the big 3-  Sabyasachi, Manish or Tarun?

UPDATED:

DIAMIRZA-WEDDINGLEHENGA And ..... she wore a Ritu Kumar ! A gold Ritu Kumar sharara with green and blue detailing and banarsi borders at the bottom. Do love the jewels though. Dia Mirza's wedding outfit created by Mrs. Ritu Kumar (1) Dia Mirza's wedding outfit created by Mrs. Ritu Kumar 2 Official note: Ritu Kumar has designed a  traditional joda  for Dia Mirza’s wedding. The style dates back to the mughal era and is contemporized in style but in essence has kept the embroidery tradition of the old zardozi craftsmanship. The ensemble  is made up of a kurta, farshi paijama and a dupatta. The upper half or paat of the paijama is made of gold net and lined with tanchoi silk  brocade and the lower half or gote is made of green and turq stripes of patched silk sewn together diagonally. Each stripe is designed with  stylized floral designs.  The elaborate borders placed on both the paat and the gote seams are  finished in a style typical of the Hyderabadi court, a city which Dia has lived in for many years. The dupatta has been embroidered by master craftsmen with a lineage from the Avadh court. The kurta is decorated with zardozi around the neckline. A similar design is embroidered on the ground of the second emerald green dupatta in alternate rows of curling vines and stylized floral motifs. The main dupatta has a special motif embroidered on the part that covers the hair.

The reception

Dia wore a peach embroidered Shantanu and Nikhil Lehenga with bronze cut out  work paired with a cream, gold blouse. From all the looks, LOVED this one the most. The pullled back hair and the contrast of emerald green against the peach is just gorgeous. [handbook] Getting hitched? Dont forget to check out our vendor guide [vendor]
