We loved the fact that the bride entered with her own vows showcased musically for her pheras - that's super sweet. Even the cold pyros the couple exited on was beautiful. Apart from that, the decor at the larger-than-life Jagmandir Palace by the Wedding Planners, F5 Weddings was a delight and the palace created a huge backdrop for all the events to unfold. Photography by Cupcake Productions showcased the beauty of Lake Pichola and the glam wedding beautifully!
Meet Vaishali and Nikhil
"Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave and impossible to forget. And what better than a true friend who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. From being together for a little over six years to the ups and downs and tough times, we finally got all knotted up" says Vaishali.

The Wedding
From The Bride:
"Team F5, our wedding planners, helped us from pin to plane and did a fantastic job. Each and every member of the team added their personal attention to everything before and during the wedding functions. Despite plenty of changes the team were really patient with us and helped us through all of our doubts.
We selected Udaipur as our wedding destination because of the Indian royalty touch that the city brings out. The lakes and palaces are breathtaking and what better place to tie the knot than Jag Mandir which is right in the middle of Lake Pichola. The hotel where we were put up was Radisson Blu. We wanted our guests to have a different feel to the wedding, but we also wanted a strong connect to our roots. Udaipur was not very difficult to reach out in terms of convenience which further played a major role in finalising the venue.
As far as events are concerned, Day 1 was a traditional Marwari Mehendi ceremony- Myra. The event theme was Rajasthani –Padaro Mare Desh. The dress code was yellow and pink. Goomar dancers, traditional folk singers, mehendi artists, lac bangle makers, nail art, parrot readers kept the guest entertained. We entered with a band on an open cycle with dhol walas accompanying us. A traditional Marwari fashion sajan koth lunch with silver ware and a huge variety of traditional food was lined up.
The evening was followed by Sangeet titled Jashn-e-Ishq at the romantic Zanana Mahal. The dress code was Indian fusion. A royal welcome was extended to all guests with rose petal showers, horses with men, Rajasthani folk dancers and the Navy band. Here, we made a celestial entry with white fairies surrounding us. The evening was followed by family performances and later by the DJ who played till the wee hours.
Day 2 was the Firangi-themed Luncheon. The décor was very English with lots of flower elements. Sunshine and pastel colors adorned the venue, with a big chasma photo booth cut out. Ring toss, Jenga, caricature and other activities kept the guests enthralled. Percussionist Lalit took the party grooving with the DJ jamming live. Live gola counter, kulfi counter was a hit amongst many. The concluding act was the Wishing Balloon, where all guests made a wish for us and hundreds of balloons were released into the dusky Udaipur sky.
Pheras at Jagmandir Palace are simply breath taking. A fairytale dream comes true for us. The mandap looked so romantic overlooking lake Pichola with a full moon right above it. The baraat made an unusual entry via boats. I entered to my self-recorded background score of the wedding vows I narrated for the groom Nikhil. It was so romantic. It was musical pheras explained by the wedding troupe from Jaipur.
The cool winter breeze and open skies witnessed an all-white reception. wE entered under the cold pyro tunnel created by family and friends. The décor consisted of high centrepieces, candles and twinkling fairy lights. Indian jazz band Maddy Sharma and Jojo performed an aquatic set of music," adds Vaishali.
