While we couldn't make it to Anju Modi yesterday, you know you have to get your bridal fix at WMG so here is her collection at ICW 2017. Named "Sunehri Kothi" after it's namesake place in Rajasthan, the collection had a Rajasthani touch with a sense of nostalgia and pride. There were some lovely contrasts in terms of texture and colours that really stood out in her collection. Was this our favourite Anju Modi show? Well, the one last year was epic and a highlight for us but even this year- there was something in store for the brides.
The collection is more traditional and not experimental in terms of cuts or silhouettes, but guess that's what Modi was going for. But the craftsmanship on the creations does stand out- some exquisite zardozdi and jamdani work.
There were also a lot of pastels and florals seen on the ramp, contrasted with some offbeat colour combinations!
And of course, what's royalty without some rich velvets? From deep blues to maroons and oxblood, there were a few deep hues in this collection!
So, something new, or the same old? What do you think?
