If there is one designer whose studio is going to have a long waiting line outside, it's probably going to be Anju Modi. The veteran designer presented "Kashish" at couture week and every single garment took our breath away. No really, we need each of these pieces in our closet. Starting off with shararas and light lehengas in sky blue and butter yellow, what we absolutely loved was how she mixed prints with embroidery effortlessly. Floral printed and hand painted fabrics used as dupattas and inners, were interspersed with velvets, chanderi and georgette with zardozi. Lucknawi thread work used on sheer veils along with Banarsi stoles. Thread and sequins created floral motifs and crop tops with full sleeves provided the modern contrast to the otherwise traditional outfits. Absolute love.
