An Intimate Wedding Of A Planner Who Wore A Gorgeous Blue Saree

BY Aakanksha | 06 Nov, 2019 | 1 view | 4 min read

When you're from the industry, specially a planner, it is a tough task to plan your wedding and make it a little offbeat and unique. But Deepthi did that with ease. She planned an intimate wedding and it was a beautiful affair. She wore a gorgeous blue saree and even had matching blue flowers in her bun with that. It was one of the most unique floral bun colours or saree colours we've come across! Deepthi looked beautiful and nailed the look of an offbeat bride effortlessly! The Nth photo captured this intimate wedding in a stunning manner and it has oodles of inspiration for you to bookmark.

The Wedding

The Reception

From The Bride:

Being a wedding planner, I have always wanted a very intimate wedding with only family and close friends. I also wanted the functions to be filled with happiness, love and fun where most of all I get to enjoy the functions rather than becoming a showpiece during the entire function. Even My fiance ( that time – now husband ) agreed to my thoughts and ideas. Since we were from two entirely different places and cultures, me from Cochin and him from Vellore we decided to have the temple wedding and register marriage in Cochin and the Reception in Vellore. Starting with the invites, we weren’t really keen on printing them for all the guests since everybody now is either on social media or WhatsApp. So we created e-invites that can be emailed and sent over through WhatsApp along with an RSVP link which worked easily. We only printed a very few numbers for the elders.

Regarding the venues for both functions, we made sure we checked the space first and also tasted the food before deciding on things

We were were specific that we do not want to sit and sort out pictures from a raw footage right after our wedding and we are a couple who cannot pose much. After a lot of research and checking with companies, I came across the Nth Photo while I was working in Chennai. Their style of photo & video was just the thing we were looking for and we booked them without thinking much and we know now that it was one among the best decisions that we took.

We both made sure that we were part of the whole process of our wedding planning starting from checking out venues to inviting people and décor, food, attires and having fun at our own wedding.

Vendor Reviews:

Bridal Saree for the wedding: I went and purchased my bridal saree alone from AnitaGeethanjali in Cochin. They have a unique collection of sarees which is why I decided to buy my saree from there.

Bridal Gown for the reception : JJs fashion House . It is a website where you get all types of gown and all sizes. They ship to India.

Bridal Makeup Artist for the wedding: Unni P S. He has been my favorite since the time I know him. He creates a natural look for brides and that is what I love about his work.

Bridal Makeup artist for  the reception : Kabooki_mua. Sringa did an amazing job by giving me the look I had imagined but couldn’t explain properly.

Photographer & Videographer for both functions: The Nth Photo, Chennai. They did an amazing job with the photos and videos
