An elegant , intimate morning affair in the heart of Delhi

It's the details in the wedding that have our hearts beating a bit faster. Right from the glorious venue with DIY decor to the mint and soft peach pom poms hanging from her kaliras (which were originally worn by her nani) ; from the twisty bun hairstyle that's vintage but still modern to the ethereal peach lehenga and the cute little paper fans to keep the guests cool (Pic in full gallery). This intimate wedding shot by Shiv Sharma Photography (assisted by Pavan Jaykob) is morning peach perfection, and proof of the fact that the most beautiful affairs are the ones that are understated , tasteful and classic.

Meet Nimrata and Raj
This was a classic 'arranged cum love' marriage . Nimrata recounts "While we were set up by parents, it was definitely not love at first sight for either of us. Infact when we met all we discussed was how we were so not right for each other. Somewhere along the lines however, amidst the flowing conversations and coffee outings, we hit it off and when we broke the news to our parents, they were absolutely elated! Infact our parents actually met for the first time on the day of the Roka".
Dont miss the pom-poms amidst the kaliras

Our vision for the wedding can be encapsulated in one word- "Elegant" . Period. My mother took the time to make my wedding special involving herself in every little detail from the packing of gifts to the decoration on the functions which was done by her , there was nothing left to chance. I don’t know how she did it but I must say her love shown through every little detail :) When it came to my outfits, I wanted to look elegant and not like a Christmas tree and also since ours was a morning wedding I didn’t want to wear a dark color. The other thing I was clear about was that I wanted to have fun at our wedding and wanted my outfits not to be too heavy but at the same time I wanted to look like the bride. For the shagan my Mother inlaw gifted me a beautiful orange Crape Churidar and a hot pink Phulkari with bright yellow detailing which I love. For my sangeet I wore my moms wedding lehenga and restored it with a tunic . For my engagement I wore a lovely hot pink long fitted kurta with a side slit with pop navy blue peek a boo pants and finally for the wedding Patine made me the happiest bride on earth, by creating a master piece which I can’t wait to wear again and again. They gave personalized service to the degree that they tested various colors against my skin tone and I think they hit the nail on the head. Shiv , our photographer was very diligent in getting to know the family as he came for a pre wedding function and acquainted himself with all the family members. He took some amazing shots both candid and the traditional ones. Also I must say he was very respectful of the ceremony and was also patient and not at all annoying. I would recommend him for any function.Venue: Brides aunts house | Invitations: Not Mentioned|Makeup:Komal Gulati | Brides outfit: Peach Wedding Lehenga from Patine, Engagement Hot Pink anarkali (view in full gallery) from Honey Sandhu Chandigarh | Grooms outfits: Wedding outfit tailored in Patiala, Engagement outfit by Diwan Saheb | Photographer:Shiv Sharma (assisted by Pavan Jaykob ) and Sharik Verma| Catering: Kwality Caterers | Cinematography:Colorblind productions| Jewellery: Some vintage, some by Nathumal | Mehendi Artist: Sukhdev from Lajpat Nagar| Decor: By brides family [handbook] Shiv Sharma Photography, Komal Gulati , Colorblind Productions and Kwality Caterers are all members of the WMG Handbook [vendor]
