Bright & Colorful Wedding in Mumbai!

You remember our sweet Red Carpet Bride, Sonika Miten? She got married this December in Mumbai to her childhood sweetheart and shared her story with us. We loved her unique mehendi design, the funky decor and pale blue mirror work outfit for the same function ;)
Meet Sonika & Miten
"We were in the same school. We were introduced by a mutual friend in the 8th std on a school trip to Jaipur. Yes, we are childhood sweethearts. We started dating in the 9th std and when Miten went to the UK for higher studies, we even had a long distance for three years. It's a 11 year courtship that translated into marriage, we had a terrible 7th year itch in the middle. But thankfully, we were meant to be together and it all fell in place. As far as marriage was concerned, it was obvious, we will get married at some point and here we are" explains Sonika. The Pre-Wedding Shoot

The Wedding / Reception
From The Bride:
"Our brief was super simple: we wanted a fun wedding, full of masti and entertainment. He is kutchi and I am half-Maharastrian, half-Punjabi. So it was kind of a heady cocktail mix of cultures and traditions, but one thing was clear - we wanted a big wedding with our family. We were pretty sure we'd spend on food instead of decor - so our decor was super simple. Even though it was in the city, we want it to look and feel like a destination wedding. So my Mehendi had a simple village theme - very earthy and fun. The most note-worthy was my pre-wedding shoot, it was on the beach at Alibaug, good times" says Sonika.Vendors: Venue: Mehendi at Bageecha; Sangeet at The Lalit; Mata Ki Chowki/ Ring Ceremony Venue at Lakhani Banquets; Wedding at SRPF Ground |Decor: Wedding decor by Sai Decorators; Mehendi decor by Karan Decorators; Mata Ki Chowki Decor by Lakhani|Mehendiwala: Kalpana|Bride's Outfits: Wedding Lehenga by Sabyasachi; Sangeet outfit Custom made from Calcutta; Mehendi outfit by Papa Dont Preach ; Mata Ki Chowki outfit byAnushree Reddy |Groom's Outfits: Wedding & Mehendi by Shantanu & Nikhil; Sangeet by Just Men, Mumbai, Mata Ki Chowki outfit by Mitesh Lodha |Jewellery: For all Events by Mukti Jewels & Sunil Jewellery Mumbai ; Mata Ki Chowki jewellery by Navratna Jewels |Catering: Royal Caterers; Mata Ki Chowki Catering by Lakhani Caterers |Photographer & Videographer: Model Studio |Makeup: Wedding makeup by Bharat and Dorris Bridal Makeup ; Sangeet makeup by Pankhi Pahuja; Mehendi makeup by Sunil Patil; Mata Ki chowki makeup by Archanan Haria
