A Gorgeous Day Wedding With A Bride In An Offbeat Mehendi Outfit
BY Aakanksha | 18 Jun, 2019 | 5 min read
Yellow, green and even blue, we thought we had seen all hues a bride can wear for her mehendi, but then came Shreyaa, who wore gold and surprised us all! Her choice of outfits in each of her functions was stunning, but it was her mehendi lehenga that wowed us the most. She wore a shimmery golden lehenga for her mehendi and looked absolutely beautiful. Even her pretty pink bridal lehenga was nothing short of spectacular and we loved how the groom wore a perfectly contrasting sherwani in dull gold. The wedding was shot in a stunning manner by Zohaib Ali and well, scroll down to see for yourself how pretty it was!

From The Bride:
I wore a pink Sabyasachi lengha for the wedding ceremony and the decor complemented my style on the day - very ethnic and chic bridal. I wore very heavy jewellery, the ceremony was outdoors with Ganeshji's on the walk way. My mandap had deep pink and purple flowers with a water feature around it. And I entered under a floral canopy. Our theme for the reception was "Eternity rings". Our main centre pieces had large rings with flowers and candles dropping down, our cake had ring cut outs in the top two tiers. Our colours were chic - rose gold, black and deep shades of pink and purple (to carry on from the morning wedding), and the head table had the same water feature from the morning around it. We had small touches of us throughout the décor - personalised black and rose gold menus, name cards, table numbers and favours. All the décor tied in with the colour schemes. We had our logo on the dance floor and on the DJ booth which was also black and rose gold.
Vendor Reviews:
I had multiple meetings with many different wedding planners and Rohita Pabla was the obvious choice. She was young, vibrant and dynamic and extremely professional. She allowed me to work with her and made all my ideas come to life with suggestions that complimented all themes. On the day, she made sure the event ran so smoothly and that all our families and guests knew where to go and what to do. I would recommend her to the whole world because she is flawless and a dream to work with and is now a friend for life.
Story and Motion were the most incredible videographers. They are what they call themselves; storytellers. From our pre- wedding shoot in Prague, to our final product, they captured the most amazing moments and their editing is unbelievable. They showed our guests a wedding trailer before we walked in and made it part of our big entrance into the reception. It was breathtaking. We had no idea that all the different angles they were shooting were going to end up looking like this - there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Absolutely stunning work and they are geniuses.
Addington Palace, our wedding venue, is a stunning palace with many ballrooms, pavilions and gardens. It was a perfect setting for our wedding.
Bashymua did my makeup for every event and we created a build up of drama for my looks. My civil was very minimilistic and natural and then the wedding was bold and heavy and reception was glamorous. He created every single look to be flawless.
Zohaib Ali captured all moments perfectly but his style is also very natural. His portrait style is very editorial and he uses natural lighting where possible. Most amazing photographer.
Peekaboo Events did the decor and per my description above, the décor was too stunning and they really brought new ideas and themes to the table.
Hiffy Raja, my mehendi artist, did really cute bride and groom drawings within my mehndi and it was so intricate and beautiful.
Indian Wedding Cards in Jaipur designed our wedding invites. The invitations were very royal and easy to order online.
I have known Brad since I was 18 and he has been cutting and styling my hair for 10 years. It was a no- brainer to choose him for my wedding hair as I trust him so much and he is so creative. He made sure all my hairstyles and all the bridal party’s hair was flawless.
