BY The WMG Bride | 29 Mar, 2014 | 5 min read

Lets play a game shall we. Lets count the number of instances in which you see this Bride laughing out loud with no worries. I spot 1...2....3...4...ok she is pretty much doing that everywhere Ha !! SO cute you guys - this bride seems to have had one big party on her wedding .  With stunning decor , a photographer we love and a team of wedding professional she says she blindly trusts- this wedding seems to be one , crazy, fun event !

Meet Richa & Adhar

Their story goes back to 9th grade where they first met. They hated each other, and then shifted to different sections in class 11th. Richa recounts "He chose Science, and I chose Commerce. We only started dating after he passed a cheap compliment to me at our school farewell :P. We started dating casually, broke up a million times. But destiny had its way, we co incidentally went for the same course at Warwick, UK. After infinite break ups still, we decided to be together forever in 2009. Mothers met in 2011. The entire families met in 2012. And we got married on 25th November 2013 "

So Richa, tell us about the celebrations !
The 1st event was in April which was the engagement.  We decided to keep the engagement on  a Sunday afternoon for everybody's convenience. This was a good idea since we could have an after party in the night. The night party was at the pool at my home, and had only about 50 of our friends. No cameras, no phones, no DJ. Only alcohol and some trance music played from my laptop. It was one crazy event.
All other major events were in November. We had 5 major events which were spread over 3 weeks in November. The first one was Mata ki Chowki. I made a point not to have any photographer for that.  I mean which normal person wants to get clicked when he/she is praying! I knew, I wasnt that person!  The next and the best event was the Cocktail. We had gorgeous decor, great music, amazing food, and unlimited alcohol. What more can Punjabi people want! Hari & Sukmani played some awesome tracks which were liked by both young and old (We LOVE Hari & Sukhmani at WMG!). This was followed by a DJ from DJ Gaurav's team.
The Wedding was again held at home. We expected about 500 people at the wedding, and ended up having about 800 people. Fortunately, the head chef from Kwality was also present at the wedding, and helped to cover the food! We had late pheras, and the fun fact that'll last during many years is that my mom was almost sleeping during the pheras  (LOL...WHAT?)

Haha. She had two kids weddings to plan in a span of 17 days, I dont blame her.
By the way you look absolutely fab on all days- LOVE your wedding lehenga. Details please
I wore Frontier Raas on my engagement, Raakesh Agarwal for cocktail, JJ Valaya for the wedding
I had actually chosen my wedding lehenga at Frontier, as everywhere I went  they told me it  would take 3 months to make. So to have the back up option, I booked one at Frontier. Since I wanted to see more, and be sure of my outfit I visited more places. Found another great piece at the Vallaya store , changed the colors to make it more bridal, turned some design from here to there, and I was set! Days later I went to Frontier, changed the colors of the lehenga from red & pink to green & peach and wore it on my brother's wedding!

Any particular wedding professional who did a great job?
To be honest, I think I chose the best people around to work with.  Avantika  Meattle (Photography) was the 1st person I chose. She's been more than a photographer. I consider her my friend, and glad that I met her. Deepti is a very professional make up artist. She knows her work well and is always on time! Shweta & Nikhil from WDC are amazing

Last words of advice?
-To have the photobooth adjacent to the dance floor. My photobooth was used during the cocktail, but it was quite far away from the dance floor. It would have a bigger turnout had it been placed near about the main dance area and the bar!
-Another suggestion would be to make the events about you, and not about anyone else. If you are pompous, make it pompous. If you are simple, make it simple.
-My trial run for the bigger events was the engagement. I found my wedding make up artist and the photographer from the engagement. I already knew what their work was like, and was very confident to chose them for the wedding as well. They were infact one of the first people to be booked for the wedding.
-Be yourself! Don't fake it. I enjoyed my wedding functions so much that many of the older people who told me to calm down during the event were happy that I didnt.
