A Colorful Mumbai Wedding at the Turf Club : Ruta & Prateek !

Two sweethearts who met during their MBA and tied the knot at the Mumbai Turf Club recently ! A bride who always knew what she wanted to wear, and a groom that looks completely smitten, this wedding has big smiles that are totally infectious ! Wedding detail we love: The hanging kalire and tea lights from the ceiling held together through flower curtains which are both adorable and creative you guys! Plus the powder blue card with the gold embossing. So freaking gorgeous.

Hi Ruta, Tell us about your events .

"Our functions spanned over 4 days. Including mehendi,  sangeet, haldi (for the boys side), and then wedding and reception on the same day. I wore a  peach layered gown from Jade for the sangeet/cocktail and again a very pretty pink and gold lehenga  with a lavender dupatta and lime green edging from Jade for my wedding / reception. For the wedding, my hair was up and my makeup was traditional, but I just let my hair loose for the evening reception. I am a big fan of Jade and had decided long back that whenever I get married I'll wear Jade. Hence I did not take much time selecting my outfit as I did not even look around at any other designer! Prateek shopped from SS Home, Armani & Manish Malhotra "

Any particular wedding professionals who did a fab job?

Priya  Todarwal was recommended by the editor of New Woman mag Archana Pai Kulkarni who happens to be a very dear family friend. The most chilled out make up artist I have known. She is so quick and flawless with her work that you wonder if are u really ready that soon! also not to forget looking glamourous! I recommend her to all the brides who want make up & hair to be fun. Not only is she professional but her work is splendid! Truly natural! My wedding cards were from Disha Mehta Design and they too did a fabulous job ! The Into Candid Photography team are magic creators as well

Any last words for brides?

To enjoy every moment no matter what. Brides will get stressed invariably, but remember its your event and you need to enjoy the maximum!
